I am a sculptor. I work with wood, metal, resins, clay and paper. My most recent works express my feelings about friends, children, homelessness, spirituality, and even moral awareness.

I don’t focus on just one theme but let my imagination wander. Creativity is my goal. Some sculptures are playful like my Prickly, Purple Sun Spot. Others are more serious like Balance. I even tread into social awareness with pieces like The King of Bashford Manor.

These are themes that I choose because they grab my attention or because I am drawn to the forms and perhaps the complexity of the execution. In other words, The Challenge.

As a modelmaker, I often worked with resins to form prototypes and master patterns. I still enjoy this medium. I mold the resin-soaked material over a pre-constructed master to obtain the desired sculptural form. I enjoy mold making. For example, I put a rubber mold on different tree branches and cast them in urethane for my sculpture entitled: I Remember When You Were Just Twigs.

My desire to create something unique is always foremost in my mind. How can I make this idea come to life with my art? Morning is one of my favorite wall-hung pieces. I sculpted the figure in clay, cast her in urethane and cut out wooden forms to fill in the surrounding design.

I like being creative. I enjoy what I do.
